
Gaultier 2, Gaultier squared, Gaultier to the power of 2: A fragrance like a love story. In 2005 Jean-Paul Gaultier ventured, after having sprayed us with the cult perfumes Le Mâle and Classique, into shared fragrance with Gaultier 2.
Amber woods, tobacco and dust occupy the top along with lavender, fresh and floral, and orange blossom, waxy and sweet. The contrast opposes the dry dust of the woods with the sweet wax of the orange blossom.
In the base, Iso E Super, woody and velvety, sits alongside vanilla, spicy and warm, and coumarin, between dry hay and dry straw. The dryness of the hay aligns with the velvety texture of the wood rather than with the spicy warmth of the vanilla.
