Arizona Bloom is an eau de parfum from Floral Street, the London house founded by Michelle Feeney, launched in 2020 and composed by Jérôme Epinette. A dry floral amber, it pairs Madagascan black pepper and Balinese coconut at the top, jasmine petals and fig leaves at the heart, and cashmere woods, oakmoss and salted musks at the base.
Cynthia Hunter, writing for ÇaFleurBon, finds in it the desert of the American West: a sand accord, the mineral scent of sun-heated rocks and a watery coconut, only faintly sweet.
What critics say
Cynthia Hunter, ÇaFleurBon, November 2021
Cynthia Hunter, a ÇaFleurBon contributor, says she recognized in Arizona Bloom the emotion of her travels through the desert of the American West. She sees it as a complete atmosphere rather than a simple perfume, and praises the box, among the most beautiful she has received in years.
In the salted musks, oakmoss, cashmere woods and pepper she perceives what she calls a sand accord, along with the mineral scent of heated rock. Her coconut has nothing of sunscreen about it: it is the water and flesh of a fresh fruit, only faintly sweet.
With the fig leaves and jasmine, she evokes the desert blooming in spring. She credits Jérôme Epinette with an atmosphere of infinite possibilities, and notes that the house gave her the bottle.
