Elie Saab reinterprets the iconic Resort Collection
The house of Elie Saab has always been intimately linked to the world of couture. Since childhood, the designer behind this house has been utterly passionate about fashion, a love that allowed him to overcome every obstacle until reaching the very pinnacle of his art. As such, only a fragrance was missing from Elie Saab's elegance. This was naturally accomplished in 2011. A genuine success, this juice is today once again reinterpreted in a brand new version named Le Parfum Resort Collection 2017.
The various Elie Saab fragrance releases
Elie Saab has always seemed to swear by the talent of Francis Kurkdjian to craft his fragrances. Moreover, Kurkdjian is today recognized across the entire world and very quickly achieved resounding success thanks to his very first creation, none other than the iconic Male by Jean-Paul Gaultier. Francis Kurkdjian is a demanding figure, particularly known for his timelessness, boldness and the sophistication of his creations. These are precisely the characteristics found in the various Elie Saab fragrance releases. The first of these was created in 2011 and took the form of a floral dominated by a bouquet of white flowers paired with woody tones. Then, this original juice was followed by an eau de toilette in 2012, a fragrance with a more pronounced freshness resting on mandarin blossom. In 2013, however, the Elie Saab fragrance became more Intense, as though having captured the intensity of the sunset. The 2014 Eau Couture was in turn brightened with bergamot and magnolia, playing on a transparent base built on green almond. It was then that the first Resort Collection edition was created, in 2015. It proved fruitier than usual, adding fig to its top notes and developing a floral bouquet more sun-kissed than before.
The new Resort Collection 2017
The ambition of the house of Elie Saab for this new fragrance was to symbolize, more than ever, the good spirits associated with the arrival of sunny days. In other words, Le Parfum Resort Collection 2017 is an essence that smells of summer. It evokes on its own the sea and the sun over the water. It opens on the tangy freshness of red mandarin paired with the gourmand quality of frangipani flower. Then, its white luminosity shines through a blend of orange blossom and sambac jasmine, further enhanced by a fruity breath of pomegranate. Finally, patchouli closes this fragrance with more character and sensuality. As always, the whole is presented in a highly crafted architectural bottle. Entirely shaped from glass, it multiplies plays of light in a gradient moving from a coral red base to a fully transparent top. The whole proves particularly elegant, thus perfectly matching the image one has of the house of Elie Saab.
