Who is Elie Saab?

Elie Saab was born in Beirut on July 4, 1964, to a stay-at-home mother and a timber merchant father. Nothing at the time destined him to become a renowned designer. Nevertheless, he developed a passion for couture very early on and began cutting his own patterns from his mother's tablecloths and curtains at barely nine years old. He designed outfits for his sisters this way. It was therefore only logical, following this early calling, that Elie Saab embarked on studies in fashion design. However, given his already advanced knowledge, he remembers this course of study as particularly tedious. He then decided to found his own fashion house in Beirut, when he was barely 18 years old. A few months later, he presented his first collection, made up of highly feminine dresses. His renown was immediate and soon crossed the borders of Lebanon. Thus, in 1997, Elie Saab showed at Italian fashion week. A year later, he began opening boutiques all over the world, in Paris, London, Madrid, Moscow, Los Angeles and Hong Kong. Continuing on this path, he chose to settle in Paris in 2002, in the heart of the Golden Triangle, welcoming a wealthy, international clientele.

While Elie Saab has continued to expand his renown, he only entered perfumery very recently. His very first fragrance was released in 2011. It opened the doors to a fabulous world.
