Pasha

Cartier launched Pasha de Cartier in 1992 as an eau de toilette. Today the house treats it as the starting point of a collection that became, in its eyes, the symbol of an era, and has since explored every facet of the fougère in more powerful or more daring versions.

The fragrance takes its name from the Pasha de Cartier watch, to which the blue cabochon on its bottle pays tribute. Mathilde Laurent, the house perfumer, sees Pasha as the assurance of wearing a “historic” fragrance, like a design piece on which an entire look rests.

A classic fougère

Cartier describes a classic fougère accord that highlights the fresh, luminous majesty of lavender and sets it against the woody depth of patchouli. The house places Pasha among its fragrances built around a fougère accord, wrapped in elegance.

The variations

The line includes Édition Noire, greener and more citrusy, carried by amber and cedar, and Édition Noire Sport, refreshed by a sea mist with fruity notes. In 2020, Mathilde Laurent created Pasha Le Parfum, denser and turned toward sandalwood and amber.

More recently, Pasha Noir Absolu takes the line further: Mathilde Laurent wraps the house’s historic fougère in a cloud of charcoal and spicy burnt sugars, in a bottle that is now refillable.
