Pasha Noir Absolu

Pasha Noir Absolu, a men’s parfum launched by Cartier in 2023, takes the Pasha line, born in 1992, into darkness. Mathilde Laurent, the house perfumer, wraps the line’s historic fougère in a cloud of charcoal and spicy burnt sugars; Cartier sums up its signature as an accord of burnt wood and caramelized sugar, in an ultra-black, refillable bottle.

Where to buy

Cartier launched Pasha Noir Absolu in 2023, as a parfum, as a new variation of Pasha de Cartier, the line born in 1992 with an eau de toilette. The house describes a collection that became the symbol of an era and has since explored every facet of the fougère.

Noir Absolu sets out to intensify everything, from the scent to the bottle. Mathilde Laurent, the house perfumer, wraps Cartier’s historic fougère in a cloud of charcoal and spicy burnt sugars, whose notes diffuse endlessly.

An unexpected perfume

Cartier presents an unexpected, bold and mysterious perfume, cut for a charismatic man of many successes. The ultra-black bottle holds a signature the house wants powerful and addictive, built around an accord of burnt wood and caramelized sugar.

Within the Pasha line

Noir Absolu joins the 1992 eau de toilette, the Édition Noire, the Édition Noire Sport and Pasha Le Parfum, signed by Mathilde Laurent in 2020. The fifth interpretation of the line, it is its most intense version, the one in which the fougère is veiled in smoke and sugar.

What critics say

One signed reading: in 2024, Eddie Bulliqi finds Pasha Noir Absolu a smoky, spicy perfume that blends vintage and contemporary motifs, highly avant-garde and unsettling, which he likens to an alien in antiquated clothing.
