Bond No. 9

Bleecker Street

Violet leaf, green and earthy with mossy accents, opens Bleecker Street alongside blackcurrant, thyme and blueberry. Created in 2005 by David Apel for Bond No 9, the Eau de Parfum borrows its name from a New York street and descends into a base of suede, patchouli, vanilla and oak.

Composition

Top notes

Violet leaf brings a green, earthy, almost mossy herbaceousness. Blackcurrant adds its sour greenness with sulfurous nuances, while thyme radiates a warm, sun-kissed vivacity. Blueberry, sweet, evokes wild fruit and a first gourmand touch.

Heart notes

Violet leaf, blackcurrant and thyme remain at this tier. They are joined by warm, spicy vanilla, burnt-sugar caramel with a milky note, warm jasmine with a wild accent, bark cinnamon, cedar with its scent of pencil shavings and resin, oakmoss and patchouli, earthy and damp.

Base notes

Suede gives a musky, woody accord with an animalic facet. Patchouli here regains its damp, camphorous earthiness, vanilla its spicy sweetness. Oak closes the composition on a smoky wood with accents of liqueur.

Gourmand family

Gourmand accords evoke dessert or confectionery. Burnt-sugar caramel, sweet vanilla and blueberry carry this facet here, supported by spicy cinnamon. The green, earthy and woody notes of the composition frame these sweet materials.
