Aura Mugler Sensuelle

Mugler revisits its perfume Aura in a very sensual fragrance. Whether or not you are a film buff, you could not have missed the release of James Cameron's film Avatar.

Angel came to upend feminine perfumery of the 20th century with its sweet, regressive scents, creating a new olfactory family, that of gourmand perfumes. From then on, the release of every Mugler perfume would be met with anticipation, and Aura, released in 2017, disappointed no one, daring to pair the green with the floral, the animalic with the green note. In 2019, we discover a new force building on Aura's strength with Aura Eau de Parfum Sensuelle.

Aura Eau de Parfum Sensuelle, a creamy, floral green force

With Angel, the very first gourmand perfume in history, Thierry Mugler's house had managed to offer a small revolution from its very first bottle. From Alien to Womanity by way of the Cologne, every Mugler perfume has managed to mark its era with a unique olfactory signature. As for Aura, it is of course the green force paired with the animalic force that is surprising, but Aura quickly won over the hearts of those who, weary of gourmand fragrances (sweet irony...), were seeking originality in other types of perfume compositions. It is true that Aura offered olfactory territory still little explored until then in feminine perfumery, with the green note of rhubarb for example, while pairing it with an orange blossom that is itself highly emblematic and recognized for its sun-kissed, exotic opulence. Aura Eau de Parfum Sensuelle plays on the same capacity to surprise as its predecessor by offering us a cinnamon leaf note still very rarely used in perfumery despite its multifaceted olfactory powers. By pairing this green, delicately spicy olfactory surprise with a lovely gardenia note, we find, as with Aura, that soft floral femininity we already know and that brings us comfort.

When gardenia and cinnamon leaf bring the heart of Aura Eau de Parfum Sensuelle to life

Aura Eau de Parfum and its 2018 successor Aura Eau de Toilette were both created by Daphné Bugey and her team of Firmenich perfumers. So even though we do not yet know the name of the perfumer who composed Aura Eau de Parfum Sensuelle, we can easily imagine that it is the same team that worked on this lovely burning green. Aura Eau de Parfum Sensuelle was composed so as to once again invite women to reconnect with their deep nature while bonding anew with nature itself. As a result, quite logically, Aura Eau de Parfum Sensuelle sought to create a new sensuality by way of notes that are more natural than animalic, but also, more surprisingly, through lovely floral notes that lend this fragrance delicate top notes. At the heart, gardenia, both soft and opulent, sustains this so feminine delicacy, while cinnamon leaf gives this Aura Eau de Parfum Sensuelle a green, woody warmth, just barely spicy and terrifically intense and singular. Finally, sandalwood anchors the base of Aura Eau de Parfum Sensuelle with exoticism, while white musks turn into tender velvet.
