Voile de Santal

Voile de Santal is a unisex eau de parfum that Annick Goutal launches in 2026, composed by Romain Almairac. The house places it among the woody fruity musks: fig milk, blackcurrant and neroli at the opening, sandalwood, cedar and moss in the central tier, an oud accord, powdery musks and Ambroxan at the base, around a creamy, powdery sandalwood.

Annick Goutal classes Voile de Santal among the woody fruity musks. The house opens the composition on fig milk, tart blackcurrant and an essence of neroli, places sandalwood, cedar and moss in the central tier, and sets at the base an oud accord, powdery musks and Ambroxan.

Fig and blackcurrant

The opening pairs, according to the house, a burst of golden light with fig milk and blackcurrant, for a fresh and immediate tranquility. In French, it evokes the green freshness of the fig tree and a neroli that brightens the sandalwood.

The sandalwood

Sandalwood gives the fragrance its name. The house wants it smooth, creamy and powdery, carrying a milky warmth; cedar, moss and oud structure this softness, between shadow and light, and convey the calm of the forest and the warm light on the trees.

The base

At the base, a subtle oud accord, powdery musks and Ambroxan wrap the skin in a softness the house calls addictive, that of an end-of-day tenderness, just before nightfall.

What the label declares

Denatured alcohol, fragrance and water open the list, ahead of tetramethyl acetyloctahydronaphthalenes, a synthetic wood, and a UV filter, butyl methoxydibenzoylmethane. Virginia cedarwood oil, santalol, the odorous principle of sandalwood, and bitter orange flower oil also appear.

Further down come pinene, linalool, limonene, beta-caryophyllene and methyl 2-octynoate, a green note. Farnesol, terpineol, citronellol, geraniol and geranyl acetate close the list.
