Romain Almairac

The son of perfumer Michel Almairac, Romain Almairac spent some fifteen years in Robertet's sales teams before becoming a perfumer. With his father he co-created Chloé L'Eau de Parfum Intense in 2024, sixteen years after Michel's Chloé Eau de Parfum, and created Chloé Le Parfum, which pairs rose with orange blossom, tonka and vanilla.

A Perfumer's Son

Romain Almairac says he was born “into that atmosphere of creation.” He spent some fifteen years in sales at Robertet, in contact with perfumers and clients, before becoming one of the house's perfumers. He describes a stressful profession, where you must always be ready to create, and which never stops.

Chloé, from Father to Son

In 2008, Michel Almairac created Chloé Eau de Parfum: rose then seemed to him the ideal flower to embody the house's fresh, refined femininity. Romain sees this rose as the key to the original's success, a short formula made of very few ingredients.

Father and son co-created Chloé L'Eau de Parfum Intense in 2024; Romain explains that it needed more power without changing the atmosphere of the original: Michel explored the boldest facets of rose and an abundance of woods. “A rose is a kaleidoscope,” says Romain. The launch draws on Chloé's founder, Gaby Aghion.

For Chloé Le Parfum, he added orange blossom to the roses and more vanilla and tonka in the base, for a result he wanted more seductive and sensual than the eau de parfum, which remains in his eyes the starting point. Le Nectar extended the series in 2026.
