The opening pairs pear, fruity, sweet and soft, with hazelnut, where greenness meets wood and sweetness. Bitter almond evokes sugar, cherry and hay. Pepper brings dry spices and a herbaceous accent, pink pepper a softer spice. Olibanum, woody and mineral, and incense, camphoraceous and waxy, cross paths with the sweetness of rosewater.

Heart

At the central tier, rose takes on a warm, honeyed and waxy tone. Osmanthus offers honey, sweetness and velvet, while sambac jasmine asserts an intense, creamy, barely fruity floral character. Saffron introduces its spices with nuances of leather and tar.

Base

Sandalwood gives a velvety, warm wood; Akigalawood®, a woody raw material, carries accents of pepper and patchouli, and cypriol earthy, spicy tones. Vanilla combines sugar, spice and warmth. Ambrette, powdery and musky, resinous cistus and ambergris, camphoraceous with animalic undertones, extend the amber base.

Floral and woody

The floral family is expressed through rose, osmanthus, sambac jasmine and rosewater, floral raw materials with honeyed, creamy tonalities. The woody facet rests on sandalwood, Akigalawood®, cypriol, cistus and olibanum, which give the bouquet a dry, resinous support.

What the label declares

The label declares geraniol, citronellol and eugenol, frequent constituents of rose essence; eugenol also recalls clove. Limonene and citral have a citrus odor, linalool a floral freshness. Farnesol is found in lily of the valley and linden blossom, benzyl alcohol and benzyl benzoate notably in jasmine.
