What the house declares

Réminiscence classifies Souffle Ambré as a spicy woody amber. At the top, geranium gives, in its words, a bright, luminous opening, and clove adds its spicy warmth: two facets, one floral, the other spicy.

The heart brings together patchouli essential oil, sandalwood and cedarwood, which form the woody facet of the composition. In the base, amber, benzoin, vanilla and white musks shape the amber side; the house credits benzoin with the oriental accent of the whole.

An amber accord

Amber does not enter here as a single material: the house describes a voluptuous amber accord, lifted by clove and geranium, which it compares to a piece of jewelry. It lends it golden nuances that melt into the woods of patchouli, cedar and sandalwood.

Finally, Réminiscence links Souffle Ambré to the imagery of the Arabian Nights, and to a dreamed Orient that it places at the origins of the house, where its Le Voyage universe begins.

What the label declares

The list published by Réminiscence places, after alcohol, water and fragrance, benzyl alcohol, a UV filter and acetyl cedrene, a woody molecule obtained from cedar oil. It lists oils of geranium, Virginia cedar, patchouli and sandalwood.

It also declares coumarin, vanillin, eugenol, a rose oil that the house does not name among the notes, a Peru balsam extract and three colorants, yellow, red and blue, while Lili writes that the relaunch removed colorants from the formulas.
