Alien Mirage's new crystalline bottle
Let us begin with the bottle of this fragrance. Its well-known shape remains exactly the same as before. Some will say the creator opted for simplicity. Others will see it as a sign of belonging to this emblematic collection. Either way, it must be acknowledged that this bottle has managed to preserve all its modernity over the years and that its natural aura still shines ever brighter. Alien Mirage by Thierry Mugler comes in a small glass talisman, sculpted like a genuine precious stone. Its various beveled faces play with light, while its name is inscribed on its walls twice, forming a sort of riddle to decipher. Three golden claws also overhang the whole, as if to protect this precious liquid. Then, a cap shaped like a sculpted crystal completes the ensemble. Until now, all these elements were already present in the previous fragrances of the Alien saga. So, what sets it apart? For the very first time, Thierry Mugler swaps Alien's amethyst hue for a very pale, slightly grayish blue. This gives it a new personality. With this unprecedented shade, Alien Mirage seems to bet more than ever on freshness and softness.
Alien Mirage, a floral and airy femininity
Between this fragrance's visual and its unprecedented formula, there is undeniably a perfect correlation. As its blue hue suggests, Alien Mirage is indeed an aquatic and very refreshing fragrance. As before, it is also flooded with flowers, for a more sensual, evanescent and romantic femininity. At first, Alien Mirage relies on a much more streamlined opening than before, based on mineral notes. Yet the woman who wears this fragrance is not lacking in personality. This can be seen in a burst of pink pepper. Lotus flower then perfects its heart, giving it an aquatic and refreshing scent. Gradually, Alien Mirage contrasts itself with warmer, more comforting notes. Finally, it ends with amber and cypress. Alien Mirage contains a number of elements uncommon in feminine perfumery, giving it a distinct personality, like a sort of UFO on the shelf of women's essences. But then again, is that not the trademark of the talented Thierry Mugler?
