The description circulated in France places the marine accord right at the top, alongside bergamot and apple. Here the notes are classified as follows: bergamot and apple at the top; marine note and clary sage at the heart; amber and woody notes at the base.

What the label declares

After alcohol, fragrance and water, the list opens with tetramethyl acetyloctahydronaphthalenes, a woody, ambery molecule, linalyl acetate and linalool. Santalol, the main constituent of sandalwood oil, and acetyl cedrene, which smells of cedar, support the woods.

Carvone, with hints of spearmint or caraway, and patchouli, lavender and geranium oils appear, as does sclareol, derived from clary sage. Bergamot oil only comes further down the list.

A UV filter, avobenzone, and a stabilizer protect the juice, which a single colorant, violet CI 60730, tints. The list contains neither lilial nor lyral, two ingredients banned in the European Union.
