Rapture

Rapture is a women’s fragrance from Victoria’s Secret, launched in 1992 and back on sale in 2026 as an eau de parfum, under the “Back From The Archives” banner. The house files it among its floral musks: a rose it calls vintage sets it in motion, a silky amber wraps around it and a sheer musk lingers last.

The house lists three notes, a vintage rose, a silky amber and a sheer musk, and classes Rapture among the floral musks. Its text places them in time: the rose from the very first moments, the amber spreading through the air, the musk last.

From rose to musk

The rose opens the composition. The house describes it as flushed, lush and decadent, and lends it a rare quality: it would grow more beautiful as time goes by. It is the only flower Victoria’s Secret names for Rapture.

The silky amber occupies the middle tier, and the house imagines it wrapping the air like slow caresses after midnight. The sheer musk forms the base; the house sees in it the ardor and infatuation that anchor the fragrance.

What the label declares

Denatured alcohol, fragrance and water open the list, ahead of three UV filters and BHT, an antioxidant. Hexamethylindanopyran, a synthetic musk, opens the run of odorous materials with linalool, alpha-isomethyl ionone, hydroxycitronellal and limonene.

Further down come acetyl cedrene, a woody material, vanillin, tetramethyl acetyloctahydronaphthalenes, geraniol, coumarin and eugenol. Bitter orange peel oil, citronellol, citral and rose ketones take up the end of the list, which benzyl alcohol and benzyl benzoate close.
