Donna

Valentino Donna, an eau de parfum launched in 2015, is the feminine counterpart to Valentino Uomo, signed by Sonia Constant and Antoine Maisondieu. It pairs bergamot, Bulgarian rose and iris with leather, patchouli and vanilla, in a glass bottle cut into prisms that evokes the house’s Rockstud studs.

For Robin of Now Smell This, Valentino Donna opens on a sweet, fruity and somewhat loud accord before a powdery rose and iris heart, very pink and very feminine, which she finds rather pretty.

What critics say

A sweet opening

Robin, who devoted a Now Smell This review to Valentino Donna in December 2015, finds the opening sweet and fruity, on the loud side, sharpened by a hint of citrus and kept from cloying, only just, by discreet leather rising from the base.

A lipstick powder

The heart suggests to her a rose and iris powder reminiscent of lipstick, distinctly pink and feminine, fairly pretty and much more subdued than the opening.
