Ombré Leather Parfum

Ombré Leather Parfum, launched by Tom Ford in 2021, takes the floral leather composed by Sonia Constant to parfum concentration. A violet leaf absolute and cedarwood open onto Indian jasmine sambac and a double dose of iris, above a base of leather, woody notes and green tobacco that the designer links to the American West of his childhood.

Tom Ford launched Ombré Leather Parfum in 2021, building on the 2018 Ombré Leather eau de parfum. Sonia Constant, the Givaudan perfumer who composed the original, also signed this version, which the house presents as an intensification of its rich, luxurious leather signature, heightened with new materials.

The West of his childhood

Tom Ford grew up in the suburbs of Houston and Austin. He says that every note of Ombré Leather is connected to the American West of his childhood, and sees the Parfum as a heightened expression of the wild, unbridled sensuality of the original fragrance.

From Private Blend to the Signature line

The Ombré Leather accord was born in 2016 in the Private Blend collection under the name Ombré Leather 16, the collection’s first eau de parfum directly inspired by a runway show, that of the fall-winter season of that year. It joined the house’s Signature line in 2018.

Orpur materials

The house highlights materials of Orpur quality: a violet leaf absolute and an Indian jasmine sambac absolute, harvested before the monsoon to obtain a more refined extract, alongside cedarwood, a green tobacco and a double concentration of iris.
