Azure Lime was released in 2010 in Tom Ford's Private Blend collection, which classes it among citrus chypres. The house builds it on an infusion of lime backed by wild mint and South African buchu, followed by a green violet leaf and a base of Australian sandalwood and oakwood.
Critics praised a juicy citrus opening but faulted the fragrance for its short longevity and its price.

Kevin describes a juicy orange and lime opening, a touch of white flowers slightly coconut-like close to gardenia, spices in which he believes he recognizes cardamom and a lemony nutmeg, and a base of woody musk with cedar and cypress.
He notes a disappointing longevity at the counter: the citrus accord fades within half an hour, and the following hours turn into a musky floral, somewhat dry and powdery. Sprayed twelve to fifteen times, the fragrance lasted more than six hours.
His verdict concerns the price-to-value ratio. He judges the composition not very innovative but of broad appeal, regrets that it did not join the current line, and refuses to pay a Private Blend price for what he considers a sport fragrance.
