Goyo (고요) is a unisex extrait de parfum from the Korean house The Eighth Room, one of three themes added in 2026 to its first four perfumes. It evokes the king withdrawn to the Jipgyeongdang pavilion. Old pine and cashmeran open onto hwangchil balsam, olibanum and patchouli, with a base of vetiver, incense and sandalwood.

Top notes

Old pine and cashmeran open Goyo. The pine needles give the resinous freshness of the chamber described by the house, while cashmeran brings a woody, slightly musky softness that rounds off the edges.

Heart notes

The heart combines hwangchil balsam, the resin of a Korean tree, with olibanum and patchouli. This resinous, earthy trio gives the scene the contemplative atmosphere the house attributes to it, between incense smoke and damp wood.

Base notes

The base brings together vetiver essence, incense and sandalwood. The incense extends the olibanum of the heart, the vetiver adds a dry, earthy note, and the sandalwood rounds out the whole with a creamy wood.
