Where to buy

The Eighth Room, a niche perfume house based in Seoul, introduced itself in May 2026 with a range inspired by the Joseon court. Each perfume depicts a scene from the king's or queen's day, in a story divided into eight themes.

Baram, “the wind,” carries the subtitle “Whispers of the Market.” The king sheds his regalia to walk down into the market street in ordinary dress; the house describes a freedom without title or place, that of a man restored to himself.

Baram is one of the house's first four perfumes. It is sold on its website as a 75 ml extrait de parfum at 210,000 wons and as an 8 ml miniature at 39,000 wons, as well as in the discovery set “A King's Day.”

What is still missing

No perfumer is named by the house, which also does not state an olfactory family. The bottle is described only by its sizes of 75 and 8 ml.
