Goyo (고요) is a unisex extrait de parfum from the Korean house The Eighth Room, one of three themes added in 2026 to its first four perfumes. It evokes the king withdrawn to the Jipgyeongdang pavilion. Old pine and cashmeran open onto hwangchil balsam, olibanum and patchouli, with a base of vetiver, incense and sandalwood.

Where to buy

The Eighth Room, a Korean niche perfume house launched in May 2026, tells the story of the Joseon court in eight themes. After a first series of four perfumes, Goyo, Yeonhwe and Yuhok complete its range in 2026, first offered in miniature.

Goyo, “stillness,” carries the subtitle “Stillness at Jipgyeongdang.” The king withdraws there to his reading chamber, amid the scent of pine needles and dry wood; thoughts matured in silence become his clearest resolve.

In October 2026, Goyo is sold on the house’s website in an 8 ml miniature, priced at 39,000 wons, and in the discovery set “A King’s Day.” No 75 ml bottle is offered to date.

What is still missing

No perfumer is named by the house, which does not state an olfactory family. The release date of the miniature is not specified.
