Where to buy

In perfect harmony with the rest of Diesel's The Brave collection, it does not lack temperament and lets a breath of impertinence float through men's daily lives. Named Sound of the Brave by Diesel, it is a striking sound that no one can ignore.

Sound of the Brave by Diesel, the fragrance for courageous and ambitious men

To embody the image of Sound of the Brave, Diesel set its sights on a world-famous hip-hop artist: Skepta. Since his appearance on the British music scene in 2008, the young man has come a long way! More composed today, he once expressed himself fervently to defend his ideas. I started to grow, he says, and to express myself in my sound once people started listening. Better than anyone, he perfectly fits the image of this fragrance. Sound of the Brave by Diesel is a vibrant fragrance that needs only a single sound to make a difference! Do not try to ignore it: Sound of the Brave by Diesel intends to make enough noise to grab attention…

Sound of the Brave by Diesel, a vibrant fougère in an electric blue fist

Sound of the Brave by Diesel comes in the iconic bottle shared by the entire Diesel The Brave collection. It is recognizable among all others, forming a closed fist. For the occasion, it takes on a new electric blue color, a mark of all its energy and drive. The famous Diesel ring still wraps around two of its fingers, while the whole is adorned with a chromed spray. The man who wears this fragrance has no hesitation in pounding his fist on the table to be heard!
On the scent side, Sound of the Brave by Diesel is equally full of temperament. Composed like a vibrant hip-hop track, it opens on a blend of citrus and spices. Juniper pairs with lemon, while wrapped in a granny smith apple accord. Then, the heart of Sound of the Brave by Diesel becomes more aromatic. It notably contains lavandin, sage and rosemary. Bison grass is then spiced with cardamom and elemi. Sound of the Brave by Diesel gradually gains in virility. It closes on a trio of patchouli, musky vanilla and amber woods. The result is a powerful composition, like a pulse rich in rhythm and audacity.

Olfastory’s review

Diesel is a striking luxury house, known for its sophisticated style, its boldness and its natural arrogance. Highly regarded by the younger generation, it has no hesitation in bending the rules and designing avant-garde products, always rock and roll. It is in this context that the Diesel The Brave saga was created, in 2009. Since then, year after year, new masculine fragrances have come to complete this olfactory collection. In 2021, history repeats itself and Diesel presents a new fragrance named Sound of the Brave. Here is our review of it.

Skepta in the recording studio

Skepta, Diesel ambassador, filmed in the recording studio by Crowns & Owls and photographed by Olivia Rose.

Skepta, British grime musician, is the face of the fragrance and the new Diesel ambassador. He unveiled the first campaign images himself in May 2021: a denim jacket against a white background, in a stripped-down staging. The visuals are photographed by Olivia Rose, who shows the artist in a Diesel denim shirt.

The main film takes place in a recording studio, where Skepta is depicted surrounded by his loved ones and his crew, in search of the right message and the right sound. The direction is by the London-based trio Crowns & Owls, with whom the artist had already worked on music videos. The cinematography is by Rina Yang, production by Noir Productions, set design by James Hamilton and color grading by Tim Smith.

The overall campaign, designed in 360 degrees by the Mazarine agency, brings together key visuals, the hero film, social content, influencer content and a radio spot.
