Soleil de Feu Eau de Parfum

Fourth installment of the Soleil line, Soleil de Feu was released in March 2023 in Tom Ford's Private Blend collection. The house describes it as a woody amber fragrance: a tuberose accord and an exotic sandalwood, warmed with benzoin and ambers, following an opening of bergamot and spices. Less beach-oriented than Soleil Blanc, more resinous, it aims for the moment the sun falls into the sea and leaves the warmth behind.

The fourth Soleil

Tom Ford opened the Soleil series with Soleil Blanc, a milky beach fragrance, before Soleil Neige and Soleil Brûlant. Soleil de Feu was released in March 2023 and shifts the light once more: after sand and snow, the sunset.

The house places it in the Private Blend collection, its upper line, and offers it in thirty and fifty milliliters as well as in a two hundred fifty milliliter decanter. The white bottle receives a bronze metal cap that gives it the look of a chess piece.

A setting sun

The stated concept is not the warm skin of midday but the end of the day: a low light over the sea, bronze rather than white, the warmth that lingers in the air as the color turns to metal.

Tom Ford presents it as the most sensual expression of the line. The formula embraces resin and sugar where Soleil Blanc played on coconut and salt, and where Soleil Neige leaned toward cold and mineral.

The nose is not credited anywhere by the house. A name circulates on online retail directories, without confirmation from Tom Ford or the specialized press, and the attribution therefore remains unverifiable.

A tuberose that does not dominate

The tuberose is presented as an accord rather than a soliflore. It arrives after a spicy opening, holds the middle with magnolia and coconut water, and fades before the wood: the flower serves the warmth, it does not command it.

The name is somewhat misleading. The fire in Soleil de Feu is not a burst of spices but an ember of resins, closer to warm wood than to the solar accord expected of a summer line.
