Renamed Caron, after the name of the former owner, the house then devoted itself solely to the creation of perfumes. Caron is today synonymous with expertise and quality. It has crossed the previous centuries, leaving us great olfactory treasures. In 1927, Bellodgia was born. This very elegant perfume sought to immortalize the charm of a small Italian town suspended above Lake Como, Bellagio. In 2013, Caron decided to revisit this great classic. Più Bellodgia was born.

Più Bellodgia, resolutely more daring

Bellodgia was already a daring composition, especially for its time. Heavily laden with flowers, the perfume was enhanced with peppery and wild notes. In 2013, Richard Fraysse, the house's official nose, was in charge of revisiting Bellodgia. While preserving the soul of its predecessor, Più Bellodgia is meant to be more daring, more intense, resolutely more audacious. Richard Fraysse describes this composition as a unique work built entirely from scratch. Più Bellodgia is built around carnation like its predecessor, but it is conceived by a perfumer of today. Here, the carnation is meant to be eccentric, playing with the green freshness of lily of the valley. Cinnamon and clove bring candor and character. Finally, sandalwood, cedarwood and musks ensure cohesion and longevity among all the ingredients.

Più Bellodgia, built around carnation

Più Bellodgia is a work in its own right within Caron's heritage and legacy. Più Bellodgia opens with the very floral and light notes of jasmine, lily of the valley and rose. Carnation then makes its triumphant entrance, accompanied by clove and cinnamon, giving the composition a very spicy character. The base is woody thanks to the presence of sandalwood and cedarwood, while the musks offer all their sensuality. Rectangular, the bottle remains understated and clean. It is topped with a glossy white cabochon. A very daring composition, Più Bellodgia is a burst of light stolen from the Italian sun. With its warm, lively fragrance, Più Bellodgia beautifully evokes the town of Bellagio. This thoroughly modern juice joins the La Sélection Caron collection.

Bellodgia was born in 1927. It is a very floral feminine perfume, somewhat daring for its time, which nevertheless achieved great success. It was in 2013 that the house Caron's perfumer decided to revisit it. While still built around carnation, Più Bellodgia is resolutely more daring and more modern. Spices surround the star carnation and offer contrast to the composition, as Caron knows so well how to do. Più Bellodgia has managed to keep the Italian sun and thus contributes to a fine tribute to this small town.
