Percival

Fruity, sweet bergamot and sparkling, sun-kissed mandarin: Percival opens on the brightness of two citrus notes. Composed by Julien Sprecher with Hamid Merati-Kashani, this Eau de Parfum by Parfums de Marly, released in 2018, extends this light through a heart of spices and flowers, from coriander to geranium, set on a base of musk, pepper, nutmeg and tonka bean.

Citrus opening

Bergamot brings a fruity note, slightly sweet and fresh, characteristic of this citrus peel. Mandarin, for its part, plays on effervescence: a sun-kissed, luminous character, which gives the top tier its brightness.

Spices and flowers

The heart pairs coriander, fresh and lively, with cinnamon, evocative of bark and spicy wood. Violet adds a powdery, green and waxy touch; lavender, a camphorous floral freshness. Jasmine turns warm, sweet, almost wild, while geranium lends a floral sweetness with rosy accents.

Warm base

In the base, musk offers a woody warmth with an animalic nuance. Pepper remains dry, spicy and herbaceous. Nutmeg combines warmth, freshness and wood, and tonka bean brings its toasted, almond and caramelized facets.

Citrus family

The citrus classification stems from bergamot and mandarin, two citrus notes placed in the top tier. This family takes its name from the fruits of the garden of the Hesperides and brings together compositions built around peel essences, prized for their immediate freshness and brightness.
