With Ça sent beau and Kenzo Homme, Kenzo Takada's perfume house quickly matched the success of the haute couture house. By exuding a blend of cultures between Europe and Asia through original and refined fragrances, Kenzo entered the closed circle of great perfumery, a circle the house would not leave with the joyful and delicate Parfum d'Eté in 1992. Composed by Jean-Claude Delville and Antoine Lie, Parfum d'Eté quickly rose to the ranks of Kenzo's fragrance bestsellers.

The first two fragrances signed under Kenzo Takada's label managed to stand out with timeless scents, deeply marked by the designer's native Asia, while blending beautifully with lovely floral “Western touches” as well as brilliant, entirely new aquatic innovations. While Kenzo Homme quickly drew attention for its unique style and unprecedented scents, the lovely fragrance composed by Jean-Claude Delville and then developed by Antoine Lie, Parfum d'Eté, would be no exception!
For his new fragrance, Kenzo Takada wanted to recall the summer scents of his beloved Japan. Jean-Claude Delville composed a Parfum d'Eté worthy of his precious memories, blending green and crisp notes with floral scents that are both very European and very Asian. However, make no mistake, Parfum d'Eté is designed to be worn all year round, while conveying, with every spray, radiant memories of flowers and greenery blooming in the sun.

The beauties of nature are at the heart of Kenzo's Parfum d'Eté
The creator of Parfum d'Eté, Jean-Claude Delville, has a deep love for natural raw materials, the treasures that nature offers, which he delights in capturing in precious fragrances.
In my creations, I like to express positivity, freshness, the sensuality of flowers. I try to capture in a bottle an emotion that expresses joie de vivre with a zen, abstract and futuristic touch, states Jean-Claude Delville, the perfumer who created Parfum d'Eté for Kenzo.
Parfum d'Eté was therefore built around this positive and joyful image, with radiant flowers appearing especially at the heart of the fragrance. Hyacinth, lily of the valley, cyclamen and rose thus compete with their unique power to create a powerful gust of flowers in this Parfum d'Eté. However, rosewood and the green leaf of the top notes bring these very “Western” flowers a green touch that is especially typical of Asian shores.
Although Parfum d'Eté is a magnificent green floral, it does not forget to carry, in its depths, a few woody sensualities of amber, cedar and sandalwood wrapped in soft white musks.
