Since its founding in 1906, the house of Montblanc has reigned worldwide through the impeccable quality of its writing instruments. In recent years, however, it has chosen to expand its field of activity, also showcasing its expertise in creating watches, leather accessories and perfumes. It was in 2020 that Montblanc designed its first feminine fragrance, named Montblanc Signature. In 2023, it was reinterpreted in a second version. This perfume for women became Montblanc Signature Absolue.
Certain women are impossible to forget. With their spontaneity, their innate charisma and their extraordinary personality, they leave an indelible mark on memory. It is by drawing inspiration from these women that Montblanc designed its perfume Montblanc Signature Absolue. Born in 2023, it comes in a golden bottle inspired by the shape of an inkwell. Its composition, meanwhile, is described as particularly sparkling and radiant.
The very fruity opening of Montblanc Signature Absolue
Like many feminine perfumes, Montblanc Signature Absolue opens on a citrus scent. Indeed, these raw materials are highly favored by perfumers, as they are unrivaled for revealing the freshness and dynamism of a fragrant creation. Here, Montblanc chose mandarin, both tart and juicy. For a greener, crisper aspect, Montblanc also chose to add Williams pear. What is more, because the woman who wears Montblanc Signature Absolue also has character, her fiery temperament re-emerges through the addition of pink pepper. This ingredient tickles the opening of this creation and immediately appears as a daily jolt of energy!
Montblanc Signature Absolue, a generous bouquet of white flowers
Then, Montblanc Signature Absolue reveals all its femininity in a bouquet of white flowers. Ylang-ylang, already present in the first Montblanc Signature from 2020, remains present. A symbol of exoticism, it lends the whole a sun-kissed luminosity. It is paired, for the occasion, with tuberose. Native to India, tuberose releases a more narcotic feeling. Its sultry scent resembles a generous, honeyed nectar. This duo is also completed by frangipani flower. Very often confused with tiare flower, this note is another call to exoticism, its effluvia resembling those of vanilla and almond. On contact with it, Montblanc Signature Absolue smells of vacation and sunshine!
The enveloping, woody base of Montblanc Signature Absolue
Finally, all the tenderness of Montblanc Signature Absolue intensifies further in its base notes. At this point, tonka bean dominates. It must be said that it is a raw material highly prized by perfumers, renowned for its many facets. In turn, tonka bean can be gourmand, woody, vanilla-like or tobacco-like. Its unique personality is further enhanced by the resinous, dark dryness of cedarwood. Finally, this delicious intensity is rounded out by golden amber. Sensuality guaranteed!
Montblanc Signature Absolue owes its existence to perfumers Meabh McCurtin and Anne Flipo. They explain that they designed a perfume around a fresh, sparkling duo of mandarin and Williams pears, wrapped in the narcotic, opulent notes of tuberose and ylang. As a tribute to the creative hand of women, they emphasize, they played with the woody, sensual character of tonka bean and cedarwood, which they contrasted with the creamy facets of golden amber.
