New Journalist Fresh Ink is a men’s eau de parfum from Michael Malul, released in 2026 in the Esquire collection. A more gourmand take on New Journalist, it pairs lemon, mandarin and brown sugar with a heart of leather, lavender and caramelized patchouli, over a base of cedar, sandalwood and tonka bean.

The bottle of New Journalist Fresh Ink is a rectangle of dark blue glass with a thick base and softened corners. The Esquire logo is molded in relief on the front, above the gold lettering New Journalist, Fresh Ink and By Michael Malul.
The sides bear a pattern of diamonds cut into the glass. A matte black cubic cap, ringed with a thin gold band, tops a gold neck and sprayer.
The eau de parfum comes in a 100 ml bottle, in a midnight blue box where the letters of New Journalist and Fresh Ink stand out in light blue, and in a 10 ml travel size.
