Pour Femme is Mauboussin’s first fragrance, launched in 2000 by the Parisian jeweler and composed by Christine Nagel. The house presents it as a fruity oriental: a top of golden plum, a heart of Indian jasmine, a base of ambergris and vanilla, in a bottle faceted like a diamond. Angela, of Now Smell This, sees in it a big fruity oriental for winter.
Angela (Now Smell This) held Mauboussin in 2011 to be a big fruity winter oriental, delicious like a hot fudge sundae and almost too rich, to be worn with a light hand; Luca Turin, quoted by her, gives it four stars.

In February 2011, Angela compares Mauboussin to a hot fudge sundae: delicious for the first few minutes, almost too good in the long run. She takes it out of her cabinet during a cold snap, to pair it with a broad-shouldered mouton coat, and finds it perfect for winter.
She sees in it an evening fragrance, for after dark, that could have scented Yves Saint Laurent’s Ballets Russes show, all aubergine and rust silk velvet. She recommends applying it with a light hand: there is no Pepto Bismol for perfume.
