Coco Vanille

In 2016, Mancera presented Coco Vanille. Composed by Pierre Montale, the Eau de Parfum belongs to the oriental family, with a gourmand facet. It opens on a sugared peach, velvety like a nectar, and finds its heart in a bouquet where ylang-ylang, tiare flower and jasmine bring powder, fruit, warmth and sugar.

Composition

Fruity opening

Peach sets the tone from the start: a sugared fruit, velvety to the touch, whose flesh evokes a nectar. In perfumery, this note is most often reconstituted with lactones, whose juicy roundness immediately calls to mind a gourmand quality.

Floral bouquet

Ylang-ylang brings a fruity and powdery facet, heightened by a touch of nail polish given by its esters. Tiare flower evokes jasmine. Jasmine itself adds warmth and sugar, with a wild side typical of white flowers rich in indole.

Oriental and gourmand

The oriental family brings together warm, enveloping accords: the warmth and sugar of jasmine, the powder of ylang-ylang carry this idea. The gourmand facet, which refers to edible smells, finds its support in the sugared peach and its evocation of nectar.

What the label declares

The declared list includes linalool and linalyl acetate, present in lavender and bergamot, geraniol and citronellol, constituents of rose essence, and coumarin, with hay and tonka bean accents. Cananga odorata oil comes from the tree that yields ylang-ylang.

Spices and woods on the label

Eugenol and isoeugenol recall clove; Juniperus virginiana oil is Virginia cedarwood essence; hexyl cinnamal has a floral odor close to jasmine. Also present are bitter orange peel oil, limonene and citral, with citrus tonalities.
