Red Tobacco

Red Tobacco was released by Mancera in 2017, in the form of an Eau de Parfum. The name announces the material that occupies the base of the accord, tobacco. The sizes offered range from 2 to 120 ml: 2, 3, 5 and 10 ml, as well as 60 and 120 ml.

Cinnamon with hints of bark and wood, spicy saffron tinged with leather and tar, camphoraceous and waxy incense: the opening takes a spicy turn. Nutmeg adds warmth and woody freshness, oud a feral note, while apple, pear and peach bring a sweet, soft and velvety fruitiness, close to nectar.

Heart

Patchouli occupies the heart tier with its earthy, damp and camphoraceous character. Jasmine adds a sweet warmth with a wild quality, a floral note set upon this earthy base.

Base

Tobacco gives its name to the base accord, with its notes of honey, almond and wax. Vanilla extends it with sugar, spice and warmth, musk with an animalic accent. Smoky, earthy vetiver, balsamic guaiac wood, velvety sandalwood and creamy wood make up its structure.

Woody family

The woody family brings together compositions built on dry, smoky or creamy woods. In Red Tobacco, it relies on vetiver, guaiac wood and sandalwood, relayed by patchouli, a material that perfumery readily attaches to this register; oud, for its part, makes itself felt from the opening.

What the label declares

Patchouli oil (Pogostemon cablin) and cinnamon bark oil are among the declared components, along with cinnamal, an aldehyde typical of cinnamon. Vanillin, the main odorous constituent of the vanilla pod, sits alongside coumarin with its scent of cut hay; eugenol and isoeugenol evoke clove.
