L’Instant Magic, so that the dream becomes reality. Guerlain was founded in 1928 by Pierre-François-Pascal Guerlain. At first, this vinegar-maker-turned-perfumer sold sapoceti (whale-fat soap scented with natural essences), as well as eaux de toilette and skincare creams. Today, Guerlain is known worldwide. The house has established its style of elegance and luxury. Since its creation, Guerlain has imagined more than 300 perfumes.
With poetry and emotion, the house of Guerlain has been creating perfumes since 1828. At its helm, several generations of passionate perfumers have succeeded one another, all sharing the same desire to carry on an immense expertise. Thus, each of Guerlain's perfumes brings forth an almost magical feeling in the imagination. Guerlain's fragrances are as many suspended moments renewed each day through wearing them. The almost dreamlike world of L’Instant Magic by Guerlain
L’Instant Magic by Guerlain is inspired by a moment as brief as it is intense, one that stays with us forever. It resembles an unforgettable sensation, without quite knowing why. With it, everything is a matter of emotions. It appeals more to the heart than to reason. This is how it draws upon its share of wonder, inviting dreams into our reality. To create this perfume, the house of Guerlain drew inspiration from a dreamlike and magical world. L’Instant Magic by Guerlain is synonymous with voluptuousness and pleasure. With a simple breath, it sets the imagination wandering. From then on, it becomes all the more addictive. Inviting one to see life through rose-colored glasses, it is a concentration of sweetness and happiness, which largely explains its success.
L’Instant Magic, an overdose of white musks
In terms of scent, to invite us into the world of dreams, Guerlain relies on softness and lightness. Similar to a mist caressing the skin, L’Instant Magic incorporates numerous white musks in its composition. This emblematic perfumery raw material is here added in overdose, which only amplifies the pure and seductive side of this perfume. To this is added a sparkling touch of bergamot, combined with a floral accord of rose and freesia. With L’Instant Magic, femininity reaches new heights. The whole gains in sensuality upon contact with a woody base of cedarwood, almond and sandalwood.
The two bottles of L’Instant Magic
Finally, because a perfume is nothing without a splendid bottle, Guerlain decided to give its perfume two different containers. Initially, L’Instant Magic was presented in a jewel case, all transparency and purity. This one held within its glass a luminous pink juice. With a rounded shape, it was an invitation to softness. Then, in recent years, this original bottle of L’Instant Magic was replaced by one of the house of Guerlain's great classics. Now, L’Instant Magic is presented in the modern reinterpretation of the iconic Bee Bottle, originally designed for Empress Eugénie, wife of Napoleon III, and which greatly contributed to Guerlain's renown. L’Instant Magic is therefore both very contemporary while drawing inspiration from the past… It is simply timeless!
