Perhaps one might wonder, then, where the legitimacy of this umpteenth flanker lies? Has the universe and scent of this olfactory saga not already been explored from every angle? Well, it would seem not! Indeed, Le Beau Le Parfum does manage to preserve the DNA of this olfactory saga, while offering an entirely new scent. Its composition moves completely away from the very first version of Le Mâle by Jean-Paul Gaultier. Here, out goes lavender and in comes coconut! Quentin Bisch signs a highly crafted composition
To succeed in surprising Jean-Paul Gaultier enthusiasts, Quentin Bisch, the perfumer in charge of this fragrance, had the idea of pairing very different ingredients with one another. This is noticeable from the top notes of this perfume onward. Le Beau Le Parfum by Jean-Paul Gaultier contains fresh, exotic pineapple. The fruity scent of this raw material is counterbalanced by the woodier addition of cypress as well as by the powdery facet of iris, one of the most expensive flowers in the perfumer's entire palette. Ginger, for its part, spreads a more peppery scent across the whole, while at the same time evoking the aphrodisiac effect of this essence. Coconut, the central element of this composition, appears in the heart of Le Beau Le Parfum, accompanied by a more virile woody accord. Finally, at its base, Le Beau Le Parfum plays its sexiest card, through an animalic alliance of amber and ambergris. For added smoothness, the whole is also wrapped in sandalwood and tonka bean.
A more modern and sculptural bottle than before
