Imagine Guerlain 2026

Guerlain describes Imagine Guerlain in two movements: an opening of floral notes it calls majestic, lifted by a touch of orange, and a base of vibrant woody notes that makes the composition warm and sensual. The house says no more about its structure.

Orange brings the citrus touch of the opening, amid floral notes the house does not name. The ingredient list sheds light on this bouquet: it declares ylang-ylang and rose oils, and bergamot, lemon and bitter orange peels.

Base

The woody notes of the base remain generic in the house’s description. The label makes them more precise: it declares sandalwood oil, with santalol, its main odorous constituent, patchouli oil, vanillin and coumarin, which give them a soft roundness.

What the label declares

The list published by Guerlain places Tetramethyl Acetyloctahydronaphthalenes, the woody molecule perfumers call Iso E Super, right after alcohol, fragrance and water, ahead of all the essential oils. Ylang-ylang oil and rose oil come immediately after.

The formula also declares cinnamon bark oil, rose ketones and a UV filter, Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate. Two colorants, CI 14700, red, and CI 60730, violet, tint the juice.

What remains outside

Guerlain publishes neither heart notes nor a perfumer’s name for the eau de parfum version, and does not say whether the formula changes from one Millésime to the next. The flowers of the opening remain anonymous; only the ylang-ylang and rose oils declared on the label give an idea of them.
