In early January 2022, Zadig & Voltaire expanded the This is Him! line with a duo named Vibes of Freedom, made up of a men's eau de toilette and its feminine counterpart, This is Her! Vibes of Freedom. Both fragrances appear under Shiseido license, the group to which the house's fragrance distribution is attached. The men's composition is signed by Nathalie Lorson, the women's by Sidonie Lancesseur.
The name places freedom at the center of the concept. Zadig & Voltaire presents the eau de toilette as a fresh, aromatic dose of positivity, and describes freedom as an instinct that vibrates within everyone and resonates with nature; the Vibes of Freedom man is described as graceful, charismatic, modern and natural. The house also mentions a fragrance free of animal testing, vegan and free of BHT.
Classification varies by source: Fragrantica places the fragrance in the aromatic fougère family, while one retailer labels it a woody fougère. Another database classifies it among fresh-spicy fragrances. None of these versions prevails.
The This is Him! line dates back to 2016, when it also launched a men's and women's duo. Vibes of Freedom picks up the same principle six years later.
