Escale à Portofino opened the Escales de Dior collection in 2008. François Demachy conceived a citrus, aromatic eau de toilette, more structured than a cologne, made from mostly Mediterranean essences: Calabrian bergamot, Italian citron, Sicilian petitgrain, orange blossom, bitter almond and cypress. Its cylindrical bottle bears the house’s cannage.

Escale à Portofino introduced the bottle that Now Smell This announced would be shared by the whole series of escales. Osmoz describes it as cylindrical, topped with a silver cap, both engraved with a cannage motif; the house speaks of the precious cannage adorning the glass.
Dior now presents this glass bottle as an object with resolutely Art Deco graphic lines. The eau de toilette comes in 75 and 125 milliliters; at launch, Now Smell This announced 75 and 100 milliliters.
