Eros Energy

Lookfantastic and Now Smell This class Eros Energy among woody citrus fragrances; National Pharmacies calls it citrus aromatic. Blood orange, lime, grapefruit, lemon, mandarin and bergamot open the fragrance; pink pepper, blackcurrant and white amber form its heart, oakmoss, patchouli and musk its base.

Six citrus fruits

The top brings together six citrus fruits: Italian bergamot, blood orange, lime, lemon, grapefruit and mandarin. Lookfantastic evokes a zesty, fresh Italian lemon; Escentual specifies Orpur qualities for the blood orange and grapefruit, and a Peruvian lime oil.

Pink pepper and blackcurrant

Worldshop lends a sensual touch to the pink pepper and the blackcurrant, the latter sharp according to the presentation relayed by Now Smell This, as well as to the white amber. Escentual’s blog finds Eros Energy far more citrusy than the original, and senses the fresh, woody character of Eros returning once the top has settled.

Patchouli and oakmoss

Oakmoss and patchouli, with musk, give warm green notes according to Now Smell This and Lookfantastic. Escentual cites an Indonesian Orpur patchouli; Worldshop credits the patchouli with depth, the musk with warmth and the oakmoss with an earthy touch.

What the label declares

The list opens with alcohol, limonene and lemon peel oil, ahead of tetramethyl acetyloctahydronaphthalenes and hexamethylindanopyran, synthetic molecules. Bergamot and bitter orange peel oils sit alongside patchouli oil and a lavender oil.

Three UV filters, ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate, butyl methoxydibenzoylmethane and ethylhexyl salicylate, protect the juice. Citral, linalool, geraniol and citronellol also appear among the declared components.
