The latest Angel Eau de Toilette from 2019: it was in 1992 that Thierry Mugler decided to move away from the world of couture and ready-to-wear to turn to perfumery.
The new Angel Eau de Toilette from 2019
In the 1990s, Thierry Mugler's fashion house was at its peak; its broad shoulder pads and outrageously sexy dresses created a sensation and its success was indisputable. Yet this multitalented artist was still missing one string to his bow: fragrance!
And it was with the gourmand and very opulent Angel that he made his grand entrance into perfumery, first almost anonymously and then in the full light of day, before an ever-growing number of fans, drawn to the light of Angel's great olfactory novelty: gourmand character! Even today, Angel remains a legendary fragrance, but nothing would stop Thierry Mugler from revisiting it in 2019 with Angel Eau de Toilette!
Perfumer Louise Turner brings Angel back to life as Angel Eau de Toilette
How does one reinvent a fragrant legend? That was the greatest challenge given to perfumer Louise Turner, already the creator of several bestsellers such as Bella by Nina Ricci and Love Chloé. Revisiting Angel for today's tastes with a new gourmand character without distorting its strength — that was the challenge Louise Turner met with flying colors with Angel Eau de Toilette.
Angel had already invented everything most beautiful that gourmand perfumery had to offer; it even created the gourmand olfactory family, no less! Yet with Angel Eau de Toilette, the Angel woman reveals herself in a new way, with more fruity boldness, delicate flowers and an overflowing, creamy sensuality.
An ode to the light and femininity of the 21st century, Angel Eau de Toilette illuminates with its spicy gourmand character a woman who has lost none of her wild boldness — quite the contrary!

Angel Eau de Toilette, the legendary gourmand returns to surprise us even more!
Perfumer Louise Turner had to rewrite Angel's story by reworking the territory of the now well-known Olivier Cresp, who composed this legend. To do so, she kept in Angel Eau de Toilette the backbone of Angel, composed of mandarin, praline and amber woods, but chose to add to these emblematic ingredients new olfactory raw materials in order to bring out its radiance.
Angel Eau de Toilette thus opens on a lively mandarin start, but is quickly enveloped in the floral, very feminine sweetness of peony. In the heart, praline takes center stage, while red fruits and apple bring a sugary roundness to the whole. Finally, in the depths, patchouli burns with sensuality, but the caramel notes have now given way to softer, creamier sweets such as cedar and white musks.
If Angel divided opinion with its intense gourmand strength, Angel Eau de Toilette brings it new light, softer yet still just as gourmand, one that might well win over those who had not yet succumbed to the charms of the beautiful blue star.
