Queen of Silk

Queen of Silk was released by Creed in 2024, in the Eau de Parfum concentration. Erwin Creed is the perfumer. The composition brings together floral, spicy, woody and resinous notes, spread over three tiers.

The bottle is associated with the name of Stoelzle Masnières Parfumerie. Queen of Silk comes in two sizes: 30 ml and 75 ml.

A saffron and floral opening

Saffron opens the accord with accents of spice, leather and even tar. Osmanthus brings honey, sweetness and a velvety touch. Magnolia adds greenness and freshness, with a vanilla-tinged hint that already announces the base.

A heart between flower and wood

Tuberose gives the heart tier its texture of honey, wax and cream. Patchouli anchors it in an earthy, damp and camphorous matter. Passion fruit slips in sugar and an exotic gourmand quality, while creamy woods and oud, woody, smoky with incense and animalic, darken the whole.

A base of balsams and woods

Vanilla lays down sugar, spice and warmth. Musk, woody and animalic, extends this warmth, which myrrh enriches with its sweet balsam. Ambroxan adds an amber and animalic note, incense a camphorous and waxy facet, and cedar its dry wood evoking pencil shavings and resin.

A chypre reading

Chypre traditionally combines a contrast between a luminous opening and a dark, often earthy base. Here, earthy and camphorous patchouli carries this foundation, framed by the resins of myrrh and incense, against the brightness of saffron and magnolia up top.
