While the house of Azzaro initially specialized in making clothing for women, it was ultimately in the realm of men's perfumery that it truly won over the public.
Loris Azzaro used to say: I am fortunate to have a profession that entertains me and that has allowed me to make wonderful encounters. It is a great happiness and an extraordinary enrichment. I love life because I love people; sincerely. That is what loving life means, it is having very solid, very deep bonds with people. As if to pay tribute to this attachment and to this bond uniting two beings, Azzaro created, in 1996, the fragrance Chrome. Today, it reinvents itself in the form of Chrome Pure. Does this new fragrant opus live up to its incredible predecessor?

Chrome Pure, a vehicle for Azzaro's fundamental values
Chrome Pure is a fragrance of authenticity. Indeed, despite its modernity, it has managed to preserve the fundamental values of the Azzaro brand. It beautifully respects Loris Azzaro's philosophy as well as the elements that seemed essential to its balance. Chrome Pure seems to rely above all on sharing. Thus, it now presents itself in a white color with universal appeal. In this way, it speaks to all peoples, all ages and all cultures. It seems to have evolved perfectly with its time without forgetting its origins. This can be felt even in its fragrance, with its very Mediterranean connotation. It is almost as if the house of Azzaro wanted to share a bit of itself with the entire world. Chrome Pure is unquestionably a real stroke of genius. After all, if its name comes from the Greek Chroma, meaning brilliance, light and hope, that is surely not without reason…
The aromatic purity of the new Azzaro fragrance
As you will have understood, Chrome Pure does not seek novelty at any cost. It takes up the fundamental values of the house of Azzaro. Likewise, it falls within the same fresh, aromatic scent as its predecessors. That said, its contemporary purity is particularly striking. Indeed, this fragrance dares to add novel ingredients that few current fragrances contain in their formula. Moreover, Chrome Pure places Akigalawood at the center of its composition. This ingredient is an olfactory accord created entirely by the house of Givaudan. It has a scent close to that of patchouli and oud wood. A fairly powerful ingredient, it is offset by the presence of an aquatic accord as well as by the luminosity of orange blossom. Likewise, the very refreshing base of this fragrance contrasts with a more structured, darker sillage. Citrus notes are paired here with woody tones. The result is a particularly balanced and highly harmonious fragrance. After all, we would expect no less from a brand as renowned as Azzaro!
