Pour Un Homme Gitana

Pour Un Homme Gitana is the limited edition of Caron’s Pour Un Homme that celebrates, in 2026, the 150th anniversary of Gitana, a family line of racing boats born in 1876. The bottle takes up the motif created by Florian and Michaël Quistrebert for the Gitana 18 trimaran, and the juice remains the 1934 formula, between lavender and vanilla.

Caron publishes the notes of Pour Un Homme for this edition: lavender essence and French lavandin essence at the top, lavender absolute and Turkish rose essence at the heart, vanilla, amber and musk at the base.

Lavender occupies two tiers in two forms: the essence, usually fresher and more aromatic, opens the fragrance, while the absolute, rounder, accompanies the rose in the heart. Vanilla, amber and musk give the base the warmth that answers the freshness of the opening.

The house ranks the fragrance among the fresh aromatics. The formula remains that of 1934, and no change is announced for this edition, which alters only the bottle.

What the label declares

The ingredient list places lavender oil right after the fragrance, ahead of linalool and linalyl acetate, two major constituents of lavender. Coumarin, camphor and sclareol also appear on it.

It declares three UV filters, ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate, ethylhexyl salicylate and butyl methoxydibenzoylmethane, and two colorants, yellow CI 19140 and blue CI 42090, which tint the juice pale green.
