Blanche Absolu de Parfum extends the story of Blanche, an Eau de Parfum launched in 2009, within Byredo's lineup. Composed by Ben Gorham, founder of the house, it opens on aldehydes with accents of candle wax and hot iron, before a bouquet of peony, violet, rose and neroli laid over musk, sandalwood and wood.

Top

Aldehydes open the accord with an impression of orange peel, candle wax and hot iron, that almost textile crispness characteristic of these molecules. Pink pepper adds softened spices, while pepper brings a dry, spicy, slightly herbaceous touch.

Heart

Four flowers make up the heart tier. Peony is tender and rosy, with a hint of lily of the valley; violet combines powder, greenness and wax. Rose turns warm and honeyed, waxy in its turn, and neroli keeps a floral acidity reminiscent of bergamot.

Base

At the base of the accord, musk lays down a woody warmth with an animalic edge. Sandalwood, velvety and warm, extends the woody note, which other woody essences render soft and creamy.

Floral family

Blanche is classified as floral: peony, violet, rose and neroli form its heart. A floral family is organized around petals, whether fresh, powdery or honeyed, and this bouquet covers these three registers, from the greenness of violet to the acidity of neroli to the warmth of rose.
