Babycat

On October 4, 2022, DarkWinterCS devotes a poem to Babycat. He immediately smells a great deal of vanilla, which pushes the other notes into the background and, more discreetly, incense, leather and saffron, soft and sensual, like a cat lying before him.

He compares it to Caftan, from the same Vestiaire, with a more assertive vanilla and lighter incense. Babycat strikes him as more gourmand, a little too sweet for his taste, and he still prefers the more oriental touch of Caftan.

On October 23, 2025, Kimberly Wilson admits she long resisted the hype, convinced she would smell just another vanilla. The opening of pink and black pepper and incense strikes her as sharp enough to tickle the nose, before a warm vanilla wrapped in suede.

She finds it sweet without being cloying, sophisticated rather than dessert-like thanks to the cedar and suede, and a little masculine too. She suggests layering it with Santal 33 to bring out its resinous side, or with By the Fireplace to warm up its spicy opening.
