Babycat joined Yves Saint Laurent’s Le Vestiaire des Parfums in 2022: a unisex eau de parfum by Dominique Ropion, inspired by the house’s leopard print. A Bourbon vanilla infusion meets a suede accord, pink and black pepper, elemi, olibanum and saffron, over a base of cedar.
An angular glass bottle with a black cap and label clad in grain de poudre, stamped with the Cassandre logo.
The house sees in the Babycat bottle the essence of Yves Saint Laurent’s style, from the angular cut of the glass to the reflections of the thick base, which multiplies geometric plays of light and reveals the amber liquid.
The cap and label take up grain de poudre, the cloth of the house’s tuxedo, and black, the couturier’s favorite color. A silver plate engraved with the Cassandre logo adorns the cap, and a square silver frame surrounds the fragrance’s name and its two main ingredients.
The house’s website offers engraving of the bottle on request, and presents it as quintessentially Yves Saint Laurent, sleek, sharp and sensorial down to the smallest detail.
