Ambroxan, a raw material with woody, amber and animalic accents, features among the heart notes of Another 13. Le Labo presented the composition in 2010, in Eau de Parfum, under the pen of Nathalie Lorson. Classified in the oriental family, the accord opens on pear, apple and citrus, welcomes jasmine, moss and musk, and finds Iso E Super in the base.
The top notes
The opening brings together pear, fruity, sweet and soft, and apple, whose fruity and sweet character takes on a gourmand turn. Citrus lends its freshness and tartness to this opening, where orchard fruits sketch a tender and luminous entrance.
The heart notes
At the heart, Ambroxan evokes wood and amber, with an animalic note. Jasmine presents itself warm, sweet, with a wild facet. Moss adds greenness, earth and undergrowth accents, while musk combines wood, warmth and an animalic facet.
The base note
The base welcomes Iso E Super, a synthetic material associated with wood, velvet and softness. In the composition, it extends the woody thread sketched above with a velvety texture, of a rounded and felted softness.
An oriental family
The oriental family generally denotes warm compositions, with amber, enveloping, sometimes animalic tonalities. Here, Ambroxan and its amber accents, warm musk and sweet jasmine carry this character, which the velvety woods of Iso E Super accompany in the base.
