Like the Italian man, Louis Garrel has an offhand nonchalance. The Valentino Uomo Intense man also wears a suit, a white shirt and a tie, which naturally enhances him. The Valentino brand wanted to depict here a simple man attached to tradition and to his heritage. Because he is timeless, the Valentino Uomo Intense man fully lives in the present moment.

The Valentino brand wanted to place iris at the heart of its composition, as it is a noble ingredient. Valentino Uomo Intense begins with a sparkling and elegant accord thanks to the presence of mandarin and clary sage. Native to Southern Europe and western Asia, clary sage is found growing wild in many Mediterranean countries, such as Italy, Greece, Morocco or Spain. Clary sage essential oil is obtained by steam distillation of the flowers. In perfumery, it releases herbaceous, camphoraceous, floral and musky tones. Then, the heart of Valentino Uomo Intense is laden with iris. Iris is a very beautiful and elegant flower. It is the iris rhizomes that are used in perfumery. Unfortunately, the extraction process is long and costly. It takes 13 tons of fresh rhizomes and 5 years of patience to obtain a single kilo of the precious nectar. In compositions, iris releases very powdery, floral, yet also musky tones. Finally, the base of Valentino Uomo Intense is meant to be sensual and delicate. It is composed of vanilla, tonka bean and a black leather accord that gives the whole composition an extreme elegance. The bottle mirrors the composition. Sober and sophisticated, it has the look of a liqueur carafe, stylized after southern Italy.
