Black pepper, spicy and piquant, sits alongside finger lime, a tart citrus with notes of lime: the top pairs the bite of the spice with citrus vivacity, on two registers that do not overlap.
Vetiver, woody and smoky, and rosewood, woody and floral, share the heart. Their common woodiness draws them together, while the smokiness of one contrasts with the floralcy of the other.
On the base, amber, tobacco and camphoraceous, joins with leather, tarry and tobacco, in a shared tobacco accord. The camphor and the tar each mark their own side of this base.
