Cherry Stem

Cherry Stem arrived in September 2025 from Phlur, an eau de parfum signed by Clément Gavarry. It serves a black cherry and an orange brandy at the top, freesia, a sugared jasmine and a plum nectar at the center, ebony woods, a warm caramel and a soft leather accord at the base. The house places it among fruity woods.

Kimberly Wilson, of Essence, finds a dark, tart cherry, neither candy nor medicine, that plum and jasmine set apart from the other cherries on the market.

What critics say

Kimberly Wilson, Essence, October 2025

A collector of cherry perfumes, Kimberly Wilson places Cherry Stem between Tom Ford’s Lost Cherry, boozier, and 7 Virtues’ Cherry Ambition, spicier: a cherry between juicy and dark, very present at first, deep and slightly tart.

Plum and jasmine slip in at a second stage, and the base of ebony woods and leather brings the fruit toward something surprisingly sophisticated. She counts four to five hours of presence, noticed without overwhelming, and wears it in the evening as well as on weekdays.

She recommends it for layering, over a vanilla that brings out the caramel of the base or over a sandalwood that tempers its sweetness.
