Cherry Stem

Cherry Stem arrived in September 2025 from Phlur, an eau de parfum signed by Clément Gavarry. It serves a black cherry and an orange brandy at the top, freesia, a sugared jasmine and a plum nectar at the center, ebony woods, a warm caramel and a soft leather accord at the base. The house places it among fruity woods.

The house breaks Cherry Stem down into three stages: black cherry and an orange brandy at the top; red freesia, a sugared jasmine and a plum nectar at the center; ebony woods, a warm caramel and a soft leather accord at the base.

What the house declares

It describes a black cherry and a plum nectar layered over ebony wood and sugared jasmine, in a swirl of warmth. Touches of leather and a spike of citrus carry the whole toward a dark, assertive cherry.

What the label declares

Phlur publishes, beyond the allergens, the detail of its fragrance ingredients. After hydroxycitronellal, limonene and coumarin come ethylene brassylate, a musk, ethyl linalool, ethyl maltol, which the list names ethyl hydroxypyrone, methyl dihydrojasmonate, or Hedione, Cashmeran and Ambrox.

It also cites two synthetic woody molecules, a woody and ambery ketone, patchouli leaf oil, phenoxyethyl isobutyrate, and two solvents, dipropylene glycol and isopropyl myristate.

What remains outside the declared accord

Ethyl maltol, with its smell of cooked sugar, carries the caramel of the base and the sugar of the jasmine; Hedione answers the jasmine, Ambrox and Cashmeran the ebony woods. Patchouli oil, absent from the breakdown, darkens the woods.

The cherry, the plum and the leather have no name of their own on the list: they remain blended into the generic term fragrance.
