Midnight Espresso

The second installment of The Cocktails Collection, Midnight Espresso reinterprets the espresso martini: coffee and rum in the top notes, chocolate and roasted hazelnut in the heart, Bourbon vanilla and Siam benzoin in the base. The house presents it as a gourmand amber for after dinner. Composed by Mathieu Nardin, it is released as an Eau de Parfum in a 75 ml size and a 10 ml format.

Coffee opens, roasted and bitter, with rum lending it alcohol: this is the espresso martini accord, laid down as such from the very first seconds.

Chocolate takes the heart, dark and buttery, with roasted hazelnut adding its dry roastedness — the register shifts from the bar toward pastry.

Bourbon vanilla and Siam benzoin anchor the base together, one sweet and fatty, the other balsamic and vanilla-toned as well: it is this pairing that gives the sillage its length and its velvety quality.
